Coronavirus: Turkey shuts universities for entire semester

Only online learning, schools already closed

    (ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, MARCH 26 - Turkey's universities will remain closed to the public for the spring semester and lessons will only be held online. The announcement was made Thursday by the head of the council for higher learning, or YOK, Yekta Sarac, as part of measures enacted to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus, or COVID-19.

    An extension until at least April 30 of the closing for all schools was announced on Wednesday. Turkish schools will continue to operate online.(ANSAmed).
