Italy-Tunisia: Open Art Week, competition for young designer

Short videos filmed with cells to be submitted by September 15

    (ANSAmed) - TUNIS, 03 AGO - Ahead of the next edition of Open Art Week, a project created to connect spaces and independent artists in the world through initiatives in Italy and Tunisia in the fall, organizers are launching the ''Young Fashion Designers Mobile Video Contest''. The competition is open to students and young designers from Italy and Tunisia. It is aimed at supporting the new talents of one of the creative sectors most affected by the pandemic crisis. The themes of the competition are experimentation, how to live and act in a future world, new visions and ideals, sustainability and local know-how. The competition is aimed at creative talents under 30 who will have to submit short videos filmed on mobile devices.

    The videos of the 10 finalists will be exhibited in an online show by Open Art Week and the coordinator of Saint Laurent Couture Institute, and will be published through the channels of Oaw, the Italian cultural institute in Tunis and the partner of the project in the month of November 2020. The first two in competition will be awarded by a jury of experts in the sector.

    The event is organized in partnership with the Italian cultural institute in Tunis and coordinator Saint Laurent Couture Institute, in collaboration with the Italian embassy in Tunisia, the Tunisian-Italian chamber of commerce and industry (Ctici), the European Institute of Design (Ied) and the first fashion school of Maghreb, Esmod Tunisie.
