UN says Libya sides have reached 'permanent ceasefire'

    (ANSAmed) - GENEVA, OCTOBER 23 - A ''permanent ceasefire'' across all Libya was reached Friday at the end of the 5+5 Joint Military Committee talks, the UN announced.

    The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) called it a ''historic'' result and turning point towards peace and stability in Libya.

    The ceremony for the signing of the agreement was held at the UN offices in Geneva. (ANSAmed).
