(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, JANUARY 12 - A strong wave of bad
weather expected in the eastern Mediterranean in the coming
hours will pummel northwestern Syria where, due to the conflict
that has torn the country for the past 10 years, some two
million people are living in desperate humanitarian conditions.
Regional media reported that rain and snow storms will hit the Syrian, Lebanese and Israeli coasts to reach northwestern Syria, lowering temperatures. Bad weather is expected to last until Friday.
In the north-western region of Idlib and in some districts of the region of Aleppo about two million civilians - mainly women, children and seniors - are living in refugee camps in areas exposed to bad weather and low temperatures with a general lack of heating, drinking water and medicines.(ANSAmed).
