Open Arms docks in Pozzallo with 209 migrants

56 minors also aboard, others transferred to quarantine ship

    ROME - The ship Open Arms docked in Pozzallo on Thursday with 209 migrants aboard, of whom 56 were minors, including a seven-year-old girl.

    Six siblings were evacuated from the Spanish NGO ship and taken to suitable facilities.

    The other migrants will undergo a period of quarantine aboard the ship Snav Adriatico, which reached the port of Pozzallo on Thursday morning from Porto Empedocle.

    The migrants, almost all of whom departed from Libya, declared Libyan, Moroccan, and Egyptian nationalities.
