(ANSAmed) - ANKARA, MARCH 19 - A Syrian opposition "database" cited by the Turkish agency Anadolu has registered almost 11,150 deaths as a result of the brutal crackdown unleashed a year ago by the Damascus regime. The figures show that 10,127 civilians have been killed in clashes or in military detention, of whom 795 children and 667 women. Some 1,027 Syrian soldiers have also been killed since the uprising began. A total of 979 people have been killed by security forces during protests, 839 by snipers and 444 as a result of torture.
