ABU DHABI - Visit by British Premier David Cameron. DOHA - Syrian National Council (SNC) meeting on extending opposition to the Damascus regime (through 11/8). CAIRO - Visit by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. TUESDAY NOVEMBER 6 - BRUSSELS - EP launches joint climate change program, with Climate Change Commissioner Connie Hedegaard.

NICOSIA - Informal meeting of ministers for EU adhesion. ATHENS - 48-hour national anti-austerity strike by ADEDY and GSEE public and private sector unions (through 11/7). ISTANBUL - Trial hearing of four former Israeli high military officers indicted for the murder of nine Turkish citizens during an assault on the Mavi Marmara ship. PARIS - Medicis literary prize awarded. ROME - Open Government Forum 2012 organized by Business International, with Education Minister Francesco Profumo. AMMAN - Visit by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. JEDDA (SAUDI ARABIA) - Visit by British Premier David Cameron. TRIPOLI - Visit by Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi.
