(ANSAmed) - ROME - Democratic Party Deputy Leader (PD), Enrico Letta,and his ministers were sworn in Sunday, and parliament is expected to confirm his government through a vote of confidence Monday. The ceremony took place at Quirinale Palace while, at the same time, outside the PM's office, two police officers were injured in a shooting incident by a man named Luigi Preiti who was soon arrested by police. The ministers were unaware of the shooting for a while. The executive feature ministers are from Letta's centre-left Democratic Party (PD), ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi's People of Freedom (PdL) party and outgoing Premier Mario Monti's Civil Choice party, along with several highly respected institutional figures.
