(ANSAmed) - LONDON, SEPTEMBER 5 - Iran's Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly approved possible
cooperation with the US military to defeat Islamic State (IS)
Sunni jihadists, reports the BBC website.
Sources in Tehran told BBC Persian that Khamenei - one of
the most highly respected figures in the Shia world - has
authorized his top commander to co-ordinate military operations
with the US, Iraqi and Kurdish forces. (ANSAmed).
