    ROME - Spain's Guardia Civil Wednesday morning at dawn carried out an operation in different buildings of the Catalan government and arrested Catalan Vice President Jose Maria Jove', according to local media.
    The officers are reportedly searching the offices of the departments of the economy, foreign affairs, labor and social affairs and local government headquarters in Barcelona to find evidence as part of an institutional clash with Madrid over a referendum on the region's independence scheduled on October 1, which was suspended by the Constitutional Court. Jose Maria Jove' has been arrested, according to La Vanguardia.
