(ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, OCTOBER 12 - Representative of the United States and Turkey are scheduled to meet ''in the coming days'' in an attempt to solve a crisis that followed the arrest of a local employee at the US consulate in Istanbul and the subsequent reciprocal suspension of short-term visas, Turkish Deputy Premier Bekir Bozdag announced on Thursday.

A US delegation is allegedly expected to travel to Turkey next week, led by Jonathan Cohen, the deputy assistant secretary of the Department of State's Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, covering Turkey.

The scheduled meeting reportedly follows a phone conversation between US secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. (ANSAmed).
