ANSAmed - Tomorrow's events in the Mediterranean

    (ANSAmed) - ROME, MAY 14 - These are the main events scheduled for tomorrow in the Euro-Mediterranean area: RAMALLAH/GAZA - Nakba Day ("Day of the Catastrophe" in Arabic), in remembrance of 1948 Palestinian exodus of 760,000 Palestinians from the land that became Israeli territory.

    PALERMO - Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) meetings and workshops in preparation for the "Summit of the Two Shores", to take place in Marseille in June, with the participation of UfM Secretary-General Nasser Kamel and UfM Deputy Secretary-General Miguel Garcia Herraiz (until 17/5).

    BEIRUT - Visit of the US Acting Assistant Secretary for Near East Affairs David Satterfield who will meet with Lebanese Foreign Minister Gibran Bassil.

    PALERMO - 'Second World Conference on the Revitalization of the Mediterranean Diet' kicks off under the patronage, among others, of FAO, CIHEAM and the Forum of Mediterranean Cultures (until 17/5).

    ROME - Fiera di Roma - Exco 2019, first international cooperation fair, a chance for meetings between traditional players in the sector with companies and institutions (until 17/5).

    BRUSSELS - Meetings and workshops as part of EU Green Week (until 17/5).

    PARIS - EU, G7 of digital ministers.

    CAGLIARI - Villa Atzeri - Seminar-debate with journalist Fulvio Scaglione on the Libyan crisis and the war in Syria, as part of the 7th International Meeting on Mediterranean Politics, taking place in four seminars through June 12.

    VICENZA - Confindustria, Palazzo Laverda - Seminar on the topic "The Value of Security: Project to Expand Training" as part of the forum "Mare Nostrum? The Difficult European Border: Challenges and Opportunities".

    CANNES - Film Festival (until 25/5).

    VICENZA - The 11th edition of the International Security Forum continues (until 16/5).

    VENICE - Correr Museum - 'Sabra Beauty Everywhere', exhibition by Chiara Dynys with works created in Beirut between 2010 and 2013 (until 24/11).
