A week of meetings in Athens to 'boost cooperation'

     ISTANBUL - Defense delegations from Turkey and Greece are holding week-long talks in Athens to ''strengthen cooperation'' in the creation of measures to promote reciprocal confidence in the Aegean Sea, where frequent episodes of tension are reported between the two countries' armed forces in disputed areas, the Turkish defense ministry reports.

    Controversies between the two countries concern several issues ranging from sovereignty over territorial waters to continental platforms and airspace.(ANSAmed).
