Netanyahu says will no longer allow settlement evacuations

But keeping an 'open mind' on specific proposals of Trump plan

11 July, 15:38

(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, JULY 11 - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a speech at the Jewish West Bank settlement of Revavà, said he will no longer allow any settlements to be demolished.

"This is my commitment, unlimited in time," he said.

"We will not allow the dismantling of any settlement in the land of Israel, neither those of Jews nor those of Arabs. We don't uproot people. We're through with that nonsense. Israel under my leadership hasn't returned to and won't return to the mistakes of the past," Netanyahu said.

Shortly after the speech, at a reception organised by the Egyptian embassy, Netanyahu said, however, that he is still awaiting the "deal of the century" peace plan from the Trump administration. (ANSAmed).
