Lieberman says Israel headed for new elections

Nationalist leader says fault of both Netanyahu and Gantz

    (ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, DECEMBER 5 - Nationalist Israeli leader Avigdor Lieberman said in an interview with Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot that Israel is heading for new elections, the third in less than a year.

    Lieberman said "both a national unity government and a right-wing government" were now beyond reach.

    He also said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the Likud party and centrist leader Benny Gantz of Blue and White were both responsible "for their failure to mediate".

    "Both parties are responsible for another round of elections," he said.(ANSAmed).
