NAPLES - Juventus beat Inter 2-0 and made a leap towards the championship trophy. The team came out on top in a head-to-head match against Mancini's group and won the game in the second half, after a balanced first half.

Two minutes after half time, Bonucci scored catching a ball behind Handanovic which had been diverted by D'Ambrosio.

Inter was unable to react effectively and at the end Juve scored once again with Morata who obtained a penalty goal. Juventus won for the sixteenth time in 17 matches and remains at the top of the ranking while Napoli and Fiorentina will face off tonight.

Behind them the race is on to secure positions leading to European cups.

Roma jumps to third place after its third consecutive win: Spalletti's medecine worked against Empoli thanks to El Shaarawy, who seemed increasingly inspired scoring twice and to Pjanic who closed the match with a definitive 3-1 for the Roman team. Milan did well too defeating Torino 1-0 thanks to a goal by Antonelli: it's the fifth consecutive victory in the last seven matches and now Mihajlovic's team is one point away from Inter.

Verona's lot appears sealed as it lost its game against Udinese 2-0, the latter team came out on top thanks to 38 year old Di Natale's intervention who passed the ball once to Badu who gave the team the edge and then to Thereau who sealed the match.

It's hard to think of a comeback also because Carpi is second to last but only six points away from safety with 11 days remaning to the end of the championship: 1-1 with Atalanta is not enough to save the day.

The team who managed to distance itself from the serie prospect of demotion is Sampdoria which beat Frosinone 2-0 and found victory again after eight days.

Fernando first lost a goal to a cross beam and then scored 1-0 at the end of the first half.

In the second half, Quagliarella doubled the advantaged.

Other noteworthy results are Chievo's success against Genoa 1-0 and the 0-0 tie between Palermo and Bologna.
