(ANSAmed) - BEIRUT, FBERUARY 18 - The international airport
of Kuwait City will be renovated and enlarged to bring its
capacity to 25 million passengers within the next four years.
Annual revenue is expected to quintuple to 500 million dinars (1.5 billion euros), underscored the country's civil aviation director Yusef Al-Fuzan in an interview with Kuwait Times. Some 11 million passengers used the airport in 2015, about double the intended capacity of the current facilities. By early 2017, a new temporary terminal able to serve 5 million passengers will open while awaiting the inauguration of the new airport terminal in 2020. (ANSAmed).
