High-speed train in Morocco to connect Casablanca airport

Four-million-euro project will be completed by 2020

    RABAT - Moroccan Transport Minister Abdelkader Amara said a high-speed train will connect the Casablanca airport to the rest of the country, with a four-million-euro investment in a project scheduled to be completed by 2020.

    The Al-Boraq high-speed rail service is a key project for Moroccan infrastructure.

    It was launched in November 2018 between Rabat and Tangier and carried three million passengers in its first year of service, according to figures from the national railway office ONCF.
