LIBYA: PLANE; HIJACKERS SURRENDER
The hijackers who yesterday seized a Sudanese plane and
forced the crew to land in Libya have surrendered, a Libyan
official said. The hijackers surrendered after negotiating with
the Libyan authorities, Libyan news agency Jana reported.

LEBANON: ARREST WARRANT TO GADDAFI OVER MISSING IMAM SADR
A Lebanese judge decided to incriminate and issue an arrest
warrant for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi for his claimed role
in the mysterious disappearance of Lebanese Shiite Imam Mussa
Sadr in 1978, judicial sources announced. According to the
sources, Judge Samih al Hajj accuses the Libyan leader of being
the person behind the abduction of Mussa Sadr.

ALGERIA: USD 2.5 BLN ALLOTTED IN 2008 TO CURB FOOD PRICES
Algeria has allocated in 2008 USD 2.5 billion to curb the
rise in the prices of food products of basic necessity, Algerian
Trade Minister El Hachemi Djaaboub announced reassuring the
population a few days before the beginning of Ramadan, a period
in which prices skyrocket and food supplies are at risk of
