(ANSAmed) - CASABLANCA, FEBRUARY 8 - The Spanish Government
has granted a 500,000 euro fund to the Regional Investment
Centre (CRI) of Tangier-Tetouan for modernisation of its
structures and work instruments.
The initiative is part of a Moroccan-Spanish cooperation
project whose main objective is to strengthen the capacities of
the CRIs in order to contribute to the good realisation of its
mission of investment promotion and of creation of new companies
in the northern region of Morocco.
According to project manager Irene Fernandez Purroy, quoted
by news agency Maghreb Arab Press, a regional network of
connection between the centre of Tangier and the one of Tetouan
will be created, assuring in this way quickness, reliability and
transparency in the operations of treatment of the investment
documents and a database will be created with all the necessary
information for investment in the region. Purroy also specified
that apart from CRI of Tangier-Tetouan, other regional centres
in the country will also benefit from this programme in the near
future. Since its creation in 2003 the Regional Investment
Centre of Tangier-Tetouan has facilitated the creation of 4,000
new companies and has approved some 900 investment projects for
7 billion euro.(ANSAmed).
