FASHION: ARMANI'S VILLAS ON THE BEACH OF MARASSI, EGYPT

(ANSAmed) - MILAN, AUGUST 28 - The first 'Armani Residences',
will be constructed on the beach of Marassi, in northern Egypt.
The luxury villas will be built thanks to the cooperation
between the fashion designer and Emaar Properties, which in 2005
set up 'Armani Hotels & Resorts', with the aim to develop and
manage several hotels, resorts and exclusive residences in the
most important cities and tourist destinations worldwide.
''When I thought of Armani Residences in Marassi, I decided
to integrate several elements which will recall the serenity and
peacefulness of a house on the beach'', Armani said. Each villa,
ranging from 250 sq m to 500 sq m, will have a private swimming
pool, while the common structures will include a commercial area
with shops, a lounge on the sea, a fitness and wellness centre,
a mirror swimming pool, a resort club, a film hall, several
swimming pools and a solarium. The interior design and the
furnishing details will be designed by Armani.
The contract with Emaar envisages the opening of at least
seven exclusive hotels and three holiday resorts in the next ten
years.
The opening of the first Armani hotel is envisaged for the
last quarter of 2009, under the development project Burj Dubai
of Emaar Properties, which targets to become the highest
building in the world. Soon afterwards, the Armani Hotel Milan
will open, while the first Armani Resort will be built in
Marrakesh. (ANSAmed).
