Lazio's Spanish defender Patric got a
four-match ban Wednesday for biting Lecce defender Giulio Donati
on the arm in the relegation-threatened Puglia side's 2-1 win
over the Serie A title contenders Tuesday night.
A sporting judge noted that the bite had not injured Donati.
The apparently inexplicable offence, which appeared even rasher
in the midst of the COVID emergency, earned Patric a red card
after it was caught by VAR.
