(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 8 - The 2020 Ryder Cup is set to be put
off till 2021, sources said Wednesday.
This will mean that the 2022 edition of the event, to be staged
in Italy, will probably be put off until 2023, they said.
The Italian Golf Federation is working with the Ryder Cup Europe
board to arrange the postponement, ANSA has learned.

Montecelio outside Rome has been slated to host the event.
This year's event was set to be staged at the Whistling Straits
Golf Course at Sheboygan in Wisconsin on September 25-27 this
year.
It will be the second time that the Ryder Cup has been postponed
after the 2001 edition was put off till 2022 because of 9/11.
The next Presidents Cup will also be postponed, the sources
said, from 2021 to autumn 2022. (ANSA).
