Medical marijuana in Croatian pharmacies from March
30 days treatment period, maximum of 7.5 grams allowed
01 February, 13:47 (ANSA) - TRIESTE - Croatian pharmacies will start selling
capsules of cannabis oil in March, Tanjug agency reported citing
local media.
The law allowing medical use of cannabis entered in force last
October, but so far the patients have had to buy these products
in other EU countries without the possibility of refund, since
they are still not available in Croatian pharmacies.
The new legislation allows the patients suffering from multiple
sclerosis, tumour, epilepsy and Aids to use medications
containing THC, in presence of medical prescription, with a
maximum treatment period of 30 days and no more than 7.5 grams
in total.
According to Croatian media, the price for a monthly dose is
likely to be around 1000-1500 kunas (around 130-190 euros).
