Covid: another record in Slovenia, 1,663 new infections
Numbers up also in Croatia, 1,563 cases, 13 deaths

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 23 OTT - Slovenia registered another
record of infections on Wednesday, with 1,663 new cases
(+10.4%), the highest since the beginning of the pandemic, local
media reported today. According to data of the portal 'Covid-19
Tracker Slovenia', in the country there are now 10,136 active
cases (+14.4%), with 357 people hospitalized (+7.2%) and 62 in
ICU (+12.7%). Another five people died, bringing the total of
deaths from virus to 207.
Neighboring Croatia registered also a record number of new
infections and deaths. According to the official Koronavirus.hr
portal, there have been 1.563 new recorded COVID-19 cases in the
country, almost half of them in Zagreb, and 13 deaths in Croatia
in the last 24 hours; 7.380 cases of remain active, 661 people
are hospitalized, 46 in ICU. (ANSA).
