Germany: wind energy most important source in 2020
It contributed to 29% of supply

(ANSA) - BELGRADO, 11 SET - Wind was the most important
energy source in Germany in the first half of 2020, the German
Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said today. In the first
six months of this year, 248.2 billion kilowatt-hours of
electricity were produced and fed into the grid in Germany, of
which 128.4 billion kilowatt-hours (51.8%) produced from
renewable energy sources (+8.3% year-on-year). The largest
increase (+12.9%) was recorded for electricity from wind power,
which contributed to 29% of the total electricity supply,
