Austria, travel warning for Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova

Quarantine or negative virus test for those entering the country

(ANSA) - BOLZANO, 08 LUG - Vienna has warned Austrian citizens against travel to Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova due to the increase in coronavirus cases in these countries. Travel to these countries is "strongly discouraged," said Chancellor Sebastian Kurz. Those returning to Austria must quarantine for two weeks or submit a negative virus test.

Austria had already closed its borders to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, and Montenegro last week. Kurz announced the strengthening of eastern border controls with 1,800 policemen. (ANSA).
