Covid: in Slovenia another record, 834 cases in 24 hours

Growing number of patients in ICU, restrictions introduced

(ANSA) - BELGRADO, 16 OTT - Slovenia, which is experiencing a significant worsening of the epidemiological situation, registered another 834 new infections on October 15, the highest number since the start of the pandemic, local media informed today. According to data from the 'Covid-19 Tracker Slovenia' portal, 5,413 cases are currently active (+12.3%), 242 people are hospitalized (+9%), 45 are in ICU (+12.5%). Four more people died, bringing the total from the beginning of the epidemic to 180.

The Slovenian authorities announced new measures yesterday.

Among them, the categorization of the country in red and yellow risk areas, where restrictions of movement and other limitations are in place. (ANSA).
