Germany: investor confidence plummets in October

"Euphoria witnessed in August and September evaporated"

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 13 OTT - The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment for Germany declined sharply in October, plummeting 21.3 points to 56.1 points, the ZEW Institute said today.

However, the assessment of the economic situation in Germany improved, npw at minus 59.5 points, 6.7 points higher than in September, the ZEW remarked.

"The ZEW Indicator of Economic Sentiment is still very clearly in positive territory. However, the great euphoria witnessed in August and September seems to have evaporated", ZEW President Professor Achim Wambach said. (ANSA).
