Germany: Ifo, export expectations much worse
Rising infection numbers are cause for increasing concern

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 27 OTT - Optimism among exporters in
Germany has suffered a setback, with the ifo Export Expectations
index in manufacturing falling from 10.3 points to 6.6 points in
October. "Rising infection numbers around the world are cause
for increasing concern in the export industry," the ifo
institute said.
Expectations are worsening in particular in the food and beverage industry and among manufacturers of textiles and clothing. In contrast, expectations among manufacturers of electronic and optical devices and in the chemical industry are climbing, Ifo noted. (ANSA).
