(ANSA) - BELGRADE, APRIL 7 - Slovenia is among the countries in the world that performed more tests for coronavirus per million population, while Albania and Serbia carried out a very lower numbers of tests every million inhabitants, according to todays' data from the site worldometers.info.

In the former-Yugoslavia and in the Balkans, Slovenia ranks firsts for the numbers of tests per million population (13,590 per million) and among the countries and territories in Europe that carried out the higher amounts of tests per million population, after the Faroe Islands (103,043), Iceland (81,701), Gibraltar (41,168), Luxembourg (38,805), Malta (24,738), Lichtenstein (23,605), Norway (20,530), Switzerland (18,776), San Marino (17,270) and Estonia (16,484), and before Austria (12,357), Latvia (11,969) and Italy (11,937).

In the former-Yugoslavia and Balkan region, Slovenia is followed by Croatia (2,793 tests per million), Montenegro (2,742), North Macedonia (2,540), Bulgaria (2,288), Romania (2,131), Bosnia and Herzegovina (1,809), Serbia (979) and Albania (893). (ANSA).
