Cinema: the great 'made in Sofia' movies return to Rome

The thirteenth edition of the Bulgarian Film Festival

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 21 SET - A tribute to the great actor Stefan Danailov, who passed away last year, colossal, romantic films, dramatic stories, documentaries will be the ingredients of the Bulgarian Film Festival (www.festacinemabulgaro.com), whose 13th edition will take place from 25 to 27 September at the Casa del Cinema in Rome.

The festival will open on September 25 with "The Reunion - Return to Plovdiv", with the screenwriter and actor Niki Iliev and the actors Orlin Pavlov, Bashar Rahal, Raina Karayaneva.

On Saturday, the director and journalist Georgi Toshev and his cameraman Rumen Vasilev will present "Stefan Danailov.

Monologue", a tribute to the great actor renowned in Italy for playing the role of Commissioner Virgil in "A case of conscience," "La Piovra" and "Racket," former Minister of Culture in Sofia. The festival also includes "Letters from Antarctica," "In the footsteps of Alzec", and "A dose of happiness" in addition to the exhibition "Eternamente Fellini La Rinascita nell'Arte." The Bulgarian Institute of Culture in Rome organized the show under the Bulgarian Embassy's patronage. All the movies will be screened in their original language with Italian subtitles. A reservation will be required to participate in the exhibition, in compliance with anti-Covid regulations. (ANSA).
