Covid:Germany calls for coordinated EU anti-variant measures

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, 20 GEN - Germany calls for additional anti-Covid measures, coordinated at the EU level, for those traveling from areas where Covid-19 mutations have emerged, to cope with the worrying spread of variants. A German delegation document that ANSA has seen reported ahead of the leaders' video conference. "Protecting health by guaranteeing freedom of movement makes it necessary for countries to take coordinated action to contain the spread of variants, with the fear that other mutations will emerge." (ANSA).
