(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JAN 21 - Hungarian authorities have approved Russia's Sputnik V and the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, the governmental portal About Hungary informed today.

Hungary is the first European Union country where vaccination can be started with these two vaccines, About Hungary noted. The Sputnik V "is based on two human adenoviruses containing the gene that encodes the spike protein to stimulate an immune response," the portal recalled. (ANSA).
