(ANSA) - ROME, 22 GEN - According to preliminary reading by Ihs Markit, in Germany, the composite PMI, which monitors the service and manufacturing sectors' activity, fell in January to 50.8 points from 52 points in December. The value is slightly higher than the estimates of economists, who had predicted a drop to 50. The manufacturing PMI fell to 57 from 58.3 in December and that of services to 46.8 from 47. The 50-point threshold represents the watershed between expansion and cycle's contraction. (ANSA).
