(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 04 MAR - The Slovenian Tourist Board, PromoTurismo FVG and Kärnten Werbung marked today the 10th anniversary of tourism cooperation between Slovenia, Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Austrian region of Carinthia during an online conference.

"The Alpe-Adria region has all the credentials to be the new destination in the post-Covid era" also thanks to its characteristics far from the concept of "overtourism," said Lucio Gomiero, General Director of PromoTurismoFVG.

"We have been living this cooperation very successfully for ten years and we are a model for other cross-border projects," said Christian Kresse, managing director of Kärnten Werbung, the Carinthian Tourism Board. "Ten years ago, we established the Alpe-Adria long-distance hiking trail, the beginning of an excellent partnership between the three countries and the joint development and promotion of tourist products of the Alpe-Adria region," said Maja Pak, Director of the Slovenian Tourist Board.
