Di Maio, concerned about the Eastern Mediterranean situation
'On resources, let's seek solutions to enhance stability'

(ANSA) - MILAN, 08 SET - "We are following the situation in
the Eastern Mediterranean with concern. We have said several
times that we give all our solidarity to Cyprus and Greece.
Still, we share with Spain the fundamental idea of ;supporting the attempt of the High Representative of the European Union to reduce tensions and start a dialogue between the parties," said Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio at a press conference in the Milan prefecture, along with his Spanish counterpart Arancha Gonzalez Laya.
Di Maio added that "we are firmly convinced that on the exploitation of energy resources, we must seek solutions to create conditions of stability and security in the whole area." (ANSA).
