2,000 migrants try to cross Melilla border, 130 succeed

Part of border barrier knocked down, police intervene

    (ANSAmed) - MADRID, 24 GIU - About 2,000 migrants on Friday approached the border between Morocco and Spain near the Melilla enclave.

    Of them, about 400 tried to knock down a barrier on the border with 130 succeeded and getting through.

    The news was reported by a Spanish government delegation in Melilla quoted by Spanish state television TVE.

    Following moments of tension, the situation seemed to have been brought once again under the control of the Moroccan and Spanish security forces, the broadcaster said. (ANSAmed).
