ROME - The AgriteQ-EnviroteQ international agricultural exhibition at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), organised by the Qatari environmental ministry, will include an Italian pavilion provided by the Italian embassy in Doha and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).
The exhibition dedicated to agriculture and the environment concludes on March 27.
The Italian pavilion will provide a physical and virtual space for Italian companies to dedicate to their businesses, even if they aren't able to attend because of travel limitations due to the health emergency.
QR codes will allow visitors to receive information on the businesses directly on their mobile phones or computers, and there will also be the possibility to organise business meetings remotely.
Eleven Italian companies took the opportunity to continue their work even in this time: AgriBio Srl (SeedFuture Group), Faber-Com Srl, Horto (FRI-EL GREEN HOUSE Srl), Idromeccanica Lucchini Spa, Kiasma Srl, Leonardo Spa, Maire Tecnimont Spa, NextChem Spa, Ponics Srl, Saipem Spa and Watercube Srl.
Alessandro Prunas, Italian ambassador to Qatar, said Italy's participation at the trade fair "highlights Italy's leading role in innovation and ecological transition".
"Following the roundtable on the Green Economy last December in Doha, led by Qatari Transport and Communications Minister Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti and Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Italy is continuing to collaborate with Qatar for sustainable growth and energy transformation," Prunas said.
"We are therefore happy to participate in this fair also to show the innovative environmental and agricultural solutions that our companies are able to offer," he said.
