(ANSAmed) - MADRID, JULY 8 - Transforming public administrations with the use of technology like Big Data, fostering collaborations in the field of research and fighting climate change together are some of the main points of the "bilateral collaboration" agreement signed on Friday in Barcelona by Italy's Emilia Romagna region and Spain's Catalonia by the governors Stefano Bonaccini and Pere Aragonès.

"Many opportunities can be created that, if developed into well-defined work, can ensure new possibilities for citizens in our territories," Bonaccini said after having signed the pact, noting that the collaboration between these two regions had begun "years ago" and was now being strengthened.

"From the memorandum with Emilia-Romagna that we are signing today, there will be prosperity and well-being for citizens," said Aragonès, through "strengthening our orientation towards exports and the will to innovate, especially in healthcare and the environment". (ANSAmed).
