transition, gender gap, diversity, blockchain, crypto and much
more - for the first time in Italy, the world of technology is
meeting with companies created by migrants and refugees on

Startups Without Borders Summit. The international event focuses
on new ideas and innovations from around the world to connect
the new horizons proposed by the economic world with over 100
speakers from five continents, 72 partners and the main players
of the world of technology.
Included by the magazine Selected among the 60 events not to be missed in 2021, on December 11 and 12 Startups Without Borders Summit is returning in hybrid form, online and in person, confirming its key role as an opportunity for startups and investors to meet and talk, to give life to new horizons of projects.
All this pursues the objective of offering a time and place for supporters and investors to be attracted by innovation. Not any innovation but one rich in projects launched by members of the diaspora, refugees and migrants who, as in all of the western world, have a key role in developing the economy.
Organized in collaboration with Meta, UNDP Egypt, Edventures, ZOHO and AUC V-Lab, the Summit is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and startups to network, gain experience and listen to speakers, including leaders of global tech companies like Microsoft, Meta, Dell Technologies, SAP, Nokia and IBM.
The Summit, finally, will also host the Startup World Cup Europe-MENA Connect, a global competition involving over 60 countries, in which entrepreneurs will compete to have the possibility of winning one million dollars for the finals, in Silicon Valley.
Startups Without Borders is a global platform which united migrant entrepreneurs with opportunities and resources to support to their businesses wherever they are.
The organization, funded in 2018 in Cairo, with different hubs through European and Middle Eastern platforms, has the objective of building an ecosystem of migrant startups, not only changing the perception of refugees and migrants, but also consolidating the growing entrepreneurial trend among them.
