(ANSAmed) - ATHENS, JULY 23 - A new program concerning
unemployed people that come from families whose members are all
unemployed will be implemented in August in Greece through the
Manpower Employment Organization (OAED), as GreekReporter
writes. The program concerns 50,000 unemployed people, who will
work for five months. The program will be implemented by
municipalities. The income will not be more than 500 euros per
month. The total funding will be 170 million euros.
In the following days, the relative decisions will be signed so that 50,000 people will be absorbed by the municipalities through OAED. Some of the domains that the unemployed will find a job in are: forest protection, extracurricular programs for students, students' road safety, social groceries, social services, maintenance works, cleaning and more.
