(ANSAmed) - ROME, 11 MAG - Starting on May 15, the use of the
ETR 470 trains of TrainOSE, the Greek railways operator
controlled since 2017 by the FS Italiane group, will for the
first time make it possible to cover the distance between Athens
and Thessaloniki in less than four hours.
"We are very satisfied for this news," said Italy's ambassador to Greece, Patrizia Falcinelli.
"It is a development that, bringing northern and southern Greece closer together, increases the country's connectedness.
Thanks to the intense and beneficial dialogue between the Italian group and the Green authorities," the ambassador noted, "it has been possible to achieve a result that improves the quality of the service for the benefit of the public and Greek businesses and confirms the high level of trade and economic relations between Italy and Greece."
