(ANSAmed) - New York, October 11 - A security official at the
United States embassy in Yemen's capital city of Sanaa was shot
dead by two masked men on a motorcycle Thursday.
Qassem Aqlani, 50, was ambushed on his way to work. Yemeni security sources have told media in the US that the murder "has the fingerprints of al-Qaeda".
Aqlani worked for the US embassy in Yemen for about 20 years, and had recently been investigating a September 12 assault on the embassy amid the outrage over a US-produced anti-Islamic film. (ANSAmed).
