Egypt: Islamic march in Cairo after ruling on Mubarak

Organized by Brotherhood and Salafites

19 April, 14:26

(ANSAmed) - CAIRO, APRIL 19 - Thousands of demonstrators on Friday gathered in front of a tribunal in Cairo in a demonstration organized by the Muslims Brotherhood and a number of Salafite movements to protest against a ruling ordering the release of former president Hosni Mubarak from prison and re-instating a former prosecutor general.

'The people want to cleanse the judiciary', chanted demonstrators. Mubarak remains under arrest despite the ruling because he is facing other trials.

He was taken back to the Tora prison two days ago. (ANSAmed)
