(ANSAmed) - TUNIS, NOVEMBER 22 - Algerian security forces
ambushed and killed five Islamic terrorists as they tried to
drive two SUVs laden with weapons and munitions across the
border from Tunisia, Radio Mosaique cited security sources as
saying Friday.
The Islamic militias made their attempt on Tuesday during
the Algeria-Burkina Faso world cup qualifier, when the entire
nation was glued to their TVs. Documents found on board the SUVs
identified them as Tunisian, Libyan, and Malian citizens. The
Algerian military set up the ambush on an intelligence tip,
sources said. (ANSAmed).
