(ANSAmed) - PARIGI - A hotel for cats, with comfortable rooms, a play area, menù cards and cuddles at will: in February the Hotel Aristide will open its doors in Paris, exclusively to feline guests.

The idea came from young French entrepreneur Gauthier Berdeaux, a 32-year-old ex-communications specialist. "I couldn't find an ideal place to leave my cat when I was away, without bothering my parents or friends or having to go to a special agency," said Berdeaux. "That's when I thought of creating a hotel for cats." The hotel will have about twenty rooms of 4 sq m each, custom-prepared for the felines and equipped with all the amenities: lofts, platforms for climbing, toys, scratching posts, and soft pillows. In addition, cats will have access to a 20 sq m recreation room for relaxation. They can also choose, through their owner's voice, what they want to eat.

The hotel will be open every day, will adhere to safety and hygiene regulations, and will have veterinarians and specialized personnel on staff. The price of a room is 25 euros a night.

In order to finance the project, however, Berdeaux still requires 12,500 euros and is appealing to donors on a crowdfunding website. (ANSAmed).
