    (ANSAmed) - ROME, OCT 17 - The former Tunisian national football team player, Nidhal Selmi, was killed in Syria Thursday while fighting with Islamic State jihadi combatants, according to radio Shems, which spoke to the family of Selmi's brother who also joined Isis's ranks. Nidhal Selmi had a successful footballing career playing for teams such as Etoile Sahel, one of the most cherished clubs of Tunisia.
