17 November, 14:36

(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, NOVEMBER 17 - Clashes between Palestinian demonstrations and Israeli police took place on Monday in the Arab neigbhorhood Abu Dis in East Jerusalem where an Arab driver was discovered hanged inside of a city bus on Sunday evening. Contradicting a first version that reported an alleged suicide, Mosque spokespersons have claimed that Yussef Ramuni was the victim of unknown Israeli attackers. A protest strike was called for the neighborhood.

Ramuni was the father of two young children and, according to family members, had no reason to take his own life. According to his father, Rumani worked for an Israeli transportation company and allegedly attacked by Jewish extremists last summer, following the murder of of Palestinian youth Mohammed Abu Khdeir. Ramuni's body was found inside the bus whose engine, according to the family, was still on. An autopsy was ordered to ascertain cause of death and will take place on Monday.
