Turkmen rebels say they killed pilots of downed Russian jet

Commander says pilots were shot while landing with parachute

    (ANSAmed) - ISTANBUL, NOVEMBER 24 - The commander of a group of Turkmen rebels in northern Syria said his group killed the pilots of a Russian warplane downed on Tuesday, according to Turkish press agency Dogan.

    "We shot both pilots while they were landing with the parachute. Their bodies are here," the commander said.

    Alpaslan Celik, deputy commander of the 2nd Brigade in the Coast, affiliated with the Free Syrian Army, said he has the bodies of the two Russian pilots.

    Commander Baser Molla added that the group has taken military control of the strategic zone of Kizildag, in the northwestern region of Bayirbucak.(ANSAmed).
